Hosted once again by Geoff Keighley, the global gaming celebration returned with world premieres, surprise sequels, indie gems, and long-awaited updates from fan-favorite franchises. The horror genre dominated headlines this year. Capcom kicked off the night with the reveal of Resident Evil Requiem, bringing us back to the eerie ruins of Raccoon City in what looks to be one of the most cinematic entries yet. Techland also surprised fans with Dying Light: The Beast, a standalone title initially planned as DLC for Dying Light 2, now releasing August 22.
In a huge nostalgia hit, Onimusha: Way of the Sword was officially announced, giving fans of classic samurai action something to cheer for. Square Enix dropped a bombshell too—Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, a tactical RPG set in the beloved Ivalice universe, is now in the works. And yes, Nioh 3 is happening. The action-heavy, punishing samurai series is officially back.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach got a fresh trailer, as Hideo Kojima leaned further into the bizarre yet mesmerizing storytelling style that made the original unforgettable. While details remain cryptic, fans were buzzing about the visuals and new cast members.

Action-RPG fans had plenty to celebrate with the announcement of Code Vein 2, the vampiric anime-inspired sequel with expanded combat and exploration. Not to be outdone, Mortal Shell II also made its debut, promising darker, deeper lore and brutal new gameplay mechanics.

Sega unveiled Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, not just a racer, but a celebration of gaming and pop culture, featuring playable guests like Ichiban Kasuga (Yakuza), Joker (Persona 5), and even Hatsune Miku.
Then came one of the weirdest surprises: Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver, a stylish action RPG set in a fantasy world inspired by the legendary hip-hop group. It’s flashy, it’s gritty—and it’s very Wu-Tang.
